Two days of great beer, premium gin, live music, delicious food and fantastic company - the Aylsham Beer & Gin Festival is back and promises one of the highlights of the summer.

Across Aylsham and our surrounding villages, gardeners have watched in disbelief as carefully clipped hedges, formal borders and treasured topiary have been stripped almost overnight.. But don't despair, as this inspiring blog explains.

Trainers across the county should now be putting their prized gastropods through their paces. The racetrack has been freshly laundered, conditions are looking good-to-soft, and the coveted Lettuce Pot Trophy is receiving its annual polish. The starting flag will be raised for the Great Aylsham Snail Race at the Food & Craft Market in Aylsham Market Place on Saturday 1 August.
