About the event

Adapted by Basden and Key from their play, twice lottery winner Charles Heath (Key), invites a folk music duo (Basden and Mulligan) with which he and his late wife were obsessed, to reform and play at a birthday party in his island home. Things go badly wrong when the duo, who have long since parted ways and do not much like each other, refuse to revisit their old songs, even for the huge fee on offer from Heath. During the course of this warm-hearted examination of nostalgia and loneliness, the gentle comedic writing and acting of the cast is outstanding.
