Join us in Aylsham Market Place at 11:00am on Saturday 1 August for the official launch of the exciting new Aylsham Snail Trail, a unique attraction celebrating the town's rich heritage, creativity and community spirit. At the heart of the trail is a spectacular six-foot-tall hand-painted snail sculpture, created by local artist Mik Richardson, which will be officially unveiled before taking pride of place in the Market Place as Aylsham's newest landmark.
The Snail Trail has been created by Aylsham Heritage Centre in partnership with Aylsham Town Council and brings together the work of talented local artists and craftspeople. As you follow the trail through the town, you'll discover individually designed snail sculptures, from beautiful stone carvings by renowned sculptor Teucer Wilson RDI to hand-painted artworks, rubbing posts and other creative installations.
