About the event
Join Aylsham Picture House for a screening of Sentimental Value, the acclaimed family drama from director Joachim Trier.
After walking out on his family and the house they have owned for generations, film director Gustav Borg (Stellan Skarsgård) eventually returns and tries to persuade his actress daughter to star in a film about his mother, who was a Resistance heroine.
What follows is a subtly told and truly gripping story of family relationships and manoeuvring. The film won Best International Feature Film at the Oscars, as well as the Grand Prix at Cannes.
Sentimental Value is in English and Norwegian with subtitles.
