Aylsham History Day

Step back in time and discover Aylsham through the eyes of those who grew up here at this fascinating and free History Day, presented by Aylsham Heritage Centre. With a special focus on childhood in Aylsham, the event brings together photographs, exhibitions, artefacts and memories to reveal what life was like for generations of local children.

Explore objects from Aylsham's past, browse historic photographs and displays, enjoy traditional games and family activities, and discover a selection of books and prints available to purchase. There will also be opportunities to share your own old photographs, stories and memories - so if you have a treasured picture tucked away in a drawer, bring it along and help add to Aylsham's living history.
